1. BIRTHDAYS, CELEBRATIONS AND HOLIDAYS

para hablar acerca de cumpleaños, celebraciones o días festivos, y en general para hablar acerca de fechas, utilizamos los números ordinales.

miremos:

Asi por ejemplo, si vas a decir que tu cumpleaños es en octubre 23, dirías: My birthday is on october twenty third (23rd)

to keep in mind/ para recordar:

1. las fechas se dicen en ingles usando numeros ordinales (primero, segundo, tercero, etc)

2. si vas a mencionar una fecha usando el mes y el día usas la preposición on (como en el primer ejemplo)

3. si vas a mencionar una fecha mencionando solamente el mes, usas la preposición in (como en el segundo ejemplo)

4. en ingles, a diferencia del español,  se escribe la letra inicial de todos los meses en mayuscula and igual que con los dias de la semana.

2. GOING TO AND PRESENT CONTINUOS TO TALK ABOUT FUTURE

Podemos usar la expresión GOING TO (VOY A ) para hablar de planes que con CERTEZA llevaremos a cabo en UN FUTURO CERCANO.

Su estructura se forma con el verbo TO BE del sujeto correspondiente y la expresión "GOING TO" Y un VERBO EN FORMA SIMPLE.

 asi:

I             AM              GOING TO          PLAY

HE         IS                 GOING TO          DANCEE

SHE       IS                 GOING TO         WORK

IT          IS                 GOING TO        JUMP

WE       ARE              GOING TO        EAT OUT

YOU    ARE              GOING TO       STUDY

THEY   ARE             GOING TO        SLEEP

EJEMPLOS.

- I am going to visit to my mom tomorrow

- She is going to work this weekend

- I am going to move to Bogota next week

- We are going to buy a house this month

- They are going to travel to Cartagena on their next vacation.

- We are going to study English in October.

EL TIEMPO PRESENTE CONTINUO también se puede usar para hablar de planes futuros CERCANOS
